Teacher, Lawyer, or Pharmicist? Easy points!?

I'm starting to look at colleges. The thing is, I've got to decide what I want to do, so I can decide what I want to major in, so I can decide what schools I like. I'm think of being either a teacher, lawyer, or pharmicist. Which do you think would be better? and why do you think so?

  • Lawyer - you can utilize your voice effectively as a teacher would, exude a strong character, and do detail oriented work involving facts and other priority information as in Pharmacy. I say Lawyer falls right in the middle, ofcourse it all depends on your passions, goals, etc.
  • Let's look at this logically shall we,
A teacher doesn't make that much money, unless they have a lot of years invested or they work as a professor somewhere.
A pharmacist is actually an over stated druggist.
A lawyer is not only a liar, but an expensive liar.
  • I always heard it as, doctor, lawyer. Indian chef. There are just some things in life, one must decide on for them self. No one can tell you what is best, it may be for them, but were talking about you. It's your life, and your in charge of it's destiny. Do extensive research into each field, and then decide on what you wont to make out of you life. No one, only you can do this. Good luck and happy hunting on a field of study that suites you.
  • The answers to your question so far are pretty good. I would like to add that you shouldn't be a teacher unless you have an undying desire and passion to be so. You will be under paid and under appreciated your entire career and at times will be a glorified babysitter.

Another comment about lawyer's: a lot of them don't make a lot of money. In fact very few do make a lot of money, but you generally will be decently off financially. There are also a lot of different types of lawyers so you never know who you'd be working with, but most likely you'll be working with criminals.

Pharmacist isn't a bad choice if you are good in chemistry. If you don't like science, it probably wouldn't be a good choice for you.

My personal choice out of the three would be pharmacist. However, I have thought about becoming a patent lawyer, and still toss it around from time to time.
  • Pharmacist.

Pays good money, and the job is easy. They basically do the same thing as a Pharmacy tech, except sometimes they'll read off the label to you to explain any side effects and how to take the drug properly.

A pharmacist is not what it was years ago. Its a while to go to school but there are a lot of jobs that pay very well with bonuses and you wont be stressed and you wont be taking work home.

Lawyer, teacher are stressful and you take work home. Teacher you are underpaid big time so you better like it, because the only reason to do it is if you love it.
  • teacher - Potential to change the lives of kids for the better, very rewarding, summers off!, holidays off!, done by 4 oclockish every day!!

Lawyer - Good Pay, could be very fun and rewarding, Long hours, could have to work late into the night

Pharmicist - to me seems boring, you stay in a little back place all day and mix drugs

Remember you can always switch your major... I think the avg is to switch like 3-4 times in college career

    Gd Luck and God Bless!
