I want to start an ebay account!?
i want to start an ebay account i know how to set it up and all of that, my question is how to get my parents allow me to do it? im 18 and still go to high school so i live with them. they tell me that its not safe but i keep telling them that it is a very sucure place and not to worry because its my credit account if anything goes wrong they still said no. any ideas of what i can tell them so that they will let me start up the ebay account?
Your 18, you can do what you want. You have to be 18 to start it, so just go for it. Tell them that ebay makes sure their site is hacker proof constantly, and is a very reputable place. i dont know about yours but my address bar turns green [which means its a safe website] when i go onto ebay and login, etc. so if it does that for you then show them that. also " https:// "means its a safe website. First of all you are 18 and therefore do not need your parents permission. If you want to convince them have them go onto eBay and look through the security features. maybe you can get one of those visa debit cards to use on the ebay account. Then everytime you want to make a purchase just deposit that amount into your visa debit card. That way, you can ensure them, that if anyone did happened to get your details, will is virtually impossible on paypal, then they couldn't take anything anyway because you wouldn't have the funds in there to deduct Listen. 1.E-bay is meant to buy items safely and secure.
2. They would get said or in trouble is the where not .
3. You're credit card Info will not get stolen.
4. Just show them things you're bidding on ... Unless you don't want them to know. Also it's always good to say that you would be saving money by using e-bay or you can't get it in stores. I think the only reason they are telling you its not safe is because if the buyer rights a check to you and you cash it, and the guy who is buying it doesnt have enough money so a few weeks after you ship the stuff to the buyer and the check is cashed the bank finds this out and you are at fault which is like $100,000 fine to cash a fake check, so ALWAYS do Pure paypal or cash, and DONT give your item to the buyer until you have your money and know its REAL and you might want to buy a postal office box so the buyer doesnt know your home address, I hoped I help and you get your money.
