What will happen to my pension if my company bought by private investors?
depend on private investors policy... Look up "ERISA". A pension is not law it is a perk given to you by your company. It all depends on how hard your company fights to keep the pensions when they negotiate with the new investors. It could go either way. So start talking it up to get upper management to fight for the workers as negotiations are being worked out.
As your company starts letting you know about this new enterprise and you have the opportunity to ask questions someone has to start asking management what they plan on doing about the pensions. Keep after them with that question until you get the answer you want.
